My name is Vlada and I breed Boerboel (South Afrikan Mastiff), my webbsite is to provide
as much information as possible about Boerboels and for the people
to make a right decision if boerboels is the right breed for them.
One thing is certain, "Boerboel is for everyone but everyone is not for a dog".I have covered all the most important questions about Boerboels on my webbpage, so just lay back in the chair and have a nice time!
As familiar with the breed for almost 13 years and traveled across South Africa,
visited large and small kennels and especially farmers who breed only
a litter every five years for his own use, so have I seen a thing or two.
Learned about blood lines from 1983 and up, but even the lines
that extends back to the Second World War.
I breed for myself, for me is breeding more than just pop out the puppies. For me breeding is an art,
especially when we breed an unhomogeneous breed that can be very different in appearance
from individual to individual and bloodline to bloodline.
My goal is not only to improve my own breeding program, but the breed as a whole with every litter.
Unlike a homogeneous breed can ofsprings in Boerboels backfire on ancestors for many generations,
also health and temperament.Thats why needed a lot of knowledge of different blood lines and what
genetic problems they have, all lines have genetic defects, but some have more problems with HD (hips) second
have more problems with ED (elbow), VH (vaginal hyperplasia), etc. ..
WE can say that all lines have their own problems like a candy box and if you without knowledge mix up the boxes then you suddenly have several genetic problems in a single offspring and more than you had from the beginning, then you are in a big trouble.
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH JUST TO PUT TOGETHER TWO HEALTHY DOGS EITHER,they also need to fit on the bloodline basis to.
The most important characteristics that I concentrate in my breeding is health, temperament, conformation and bloodlines.
All those characteristics are equally important and must go in parallel, one must not exclude one of the other.
Furthermore, I never do same combination two twice.I believe that every new combination must be better than the last,
it is improvement in my breeding and improvement of the breed I strive for, not to just pop out puppies from the same combination over and over again.
If you do that then you are breeding for other porpuses.
All our dogs are tested for HD, ED, Ec-Entropion.Females for Vaginal Hyperplasia, all health certificates are available
on our webbpage under the breeding dogs.
All our dogs are temperament tested and puppies are bred as working, show and companion dogs.
